Music, movement, lyrics, storytelling, drawing, stamp-printing, clay modeling, and painting all lend themselves in enhancing verbal and nonverbal communication and recognition in a safe environment. It offers a release and an avenue to express feelings and moods by providing companionship with the therapist and their peers. Expressive Arts is a fun, relaxing experience for people living with dementia to be creative, enhance brain functioning, and social interaction, which leads to feeling confident.
